The new section is called the Affiliate Categories.
Timpson also stated that they recognize the affiliate lead generation is an important part of the marketing mix for many operators and it is also felt that the roll of the best affiliates is akin to a marketing partner.
There are four new categories in the online casinos affiliates section such as “gaming community site of the year”, “gaming review site of the year”, “gaming comparison site of the year” and “innovative gaming site of the year”. All four categories play a huge role in spreading information to current and potential online players. Credibility is very important to the affiliate site as well as the whole online gaming industry as there are currently many countries in the world where the industry is attempting to convince the legislators that they are a responsible industry and aware of social concerns.
Timpson revealed that the judges would be looking for a clear strategy, good execution as well as innovation within the three main strategy types of community sites, online casinos review sites and comparison sites and that the affiliate that has shown the most innovation in 2010 would be given a special award.
